THESE GABONESE WHO PRAISE THE DICTATORSHIP. CES GABONAIS QUI ADULENT LA DICTATURE

There are some Gabonese who are very happy to live under a dictatorship. They think that this is exactly the form of government we deserve.
It seems that for these compatriots, imprisoning innocent people, without trial, is just fine; killing innocent people is perfectly tolerable; and stealing all the money one can, is absolutely acceptable as it is a very good thing.
For these compatriots, our advocacy for freedom and democracy is a waste of time, because they think like Jacques Chirac, that Africans are not ready for democracy.
It may be that these compatriots actually have no obscene fondness for tyrants; as they are “forced” to adopt their position of supporting the dictatorship because they have to feed their families. The problem is that we have to feed our families too, but we don’t sell out.
These compatriots have decided to stand for nothing, except their immediate self-enrichment and self-protection.
These compatriots have even convinced themselves that Gabon is better off if its citizens are routinely cheated from the right to choose their leaders, and if the national treasury is constantly looted by those in power.
Dear readers, we must fight these kinds of compatriots and push them back as they are a plague among us.
We will not give up!

Il y a des Gabonais qui sont très heureux de vivre sous une dictature. Ils pensent que c'est exactement la forme de gouvernement que nous méritons.
Il semble que pour ces compatriotes, emprisonner des innocents, sans procès, c'est bien; tuer des innocents est parfaitement tolérable; et voler autant d'argent que l'on peut, est tout à fait acceptable car c'est une très bonne chose.
Pour ces compatriotes, notre plaidoyer pour la liberté et la démocratie est une perte de temps, car ils pensent comme Jacques Chirac, que les Africains ne sont pas murs pour la démocratie.
Il se peut que ces compatriotes n'aient en réalité aucune attache obscène pour les tyrans; car ils sont «forcés» d'adopter leur position de soutien à la dictature parce qu'ils doivent nourrir leur famille. Le problème est que nous devons aussi nourrir nos familles, mais nous ne nous vendons pourtant pas !
Ces compatriotes ont décidé de ne croire en rien, sauf en leur auto-enrichissement immédiat et en leur autoprotection.
Ces compatriotes se sont même convaincus que le Gabon s’en porterait mieux si ses citoyens étaient systématiquement privés du droit de choisir leurs dirigeants et si le Trésor national était constamment pillé par ceux qui sont au pouvoir.
Chers lecteurs, nous devons combattre ce type de compatriotes et les repousser le plus loin possible, car ils sont un fléau parmi nous.
On ne lâche rien!
