We have just witnessed two diametrically opposed positions by two Gabonese politicians belonging to the same political side, relative to the Ali Bongo regime. If at first, Jean Eyeghe-Ndong wanted to straddle the fence, he still ended up being positioned according to the line held by the resistance; on the other hand, Casimir Oye-Mba however, was satisfied with what was nothing but a pure and simple capitulation.

Dear readers, ask yourself why Jean Eyeghe-Ndong did change his leanings? Simply because he has realized the greatness, tenacity and self-confidence that emerge from those who happen to be resistants.

When a people says that no matter what happens, whatever the duration of the imposture, that it will not give up, it means that we are in the presence of a confident and solid people, who knows what it wants. Indeed, the Gabonese who are resistants, are confident and mature enough to assume their revolution. For better or for worse, this will be their work; they will impose it on Gabon and the future will belong to them. History is on their side.

For Gabonese politicians, it is a question of aligning oneself with the right or wrong side of history. Between Jean Eyeghe-Ndong and Casimir Oye-Mba, we have two politicians who have each chosen one of the camps.

It is this strong resistance that will lead us to a strong and solid nation in the future. Even if the position of Casimir Oye-Mba seems to us extremely heartbreaking, because it puts us in front of a politician who seems to take us for morons, it has at least the merit of clearly demonstrating to us where this politician is today, in relation to our aspirations.

The strong people continue their resistance; Mr. Oye-Mba, you are free to go to the legislative elections.

Nous venons d’assister à deux positionnements diamétralement opposés de deux politiciens Gabonais appartenant au même bord politique, par rapport au régime Ali Bongo. Si dans un premier temps, Jean Eyeghe-Ndong a voulu ménager la chèvre et le chou, il a quand même fini par se positionner selon la ligne de conduite de la résistance ; par contre, Casimir Oye-Mba, lui, s’est épanché sur ce qui n’a été rien d’autre qu’une capitulation en règle.

Chers lecteurs, demandez-vous pourquoi donc Jean Eyeghe-Ndong est revenu à de meilleurs sentiments ? Tout simplement parce qu’il s’est rendu compte de la grandeur morale, de la ténacité et de la confiance en eux-mêmes qui se dégagent de ceux qui se réclament de la résistance.

Quand un peuple dit qu’advienne que pourra, que quelle que soit la durée de l’imposture, qu’il ne lâchera rien, ça veut dire qu’on est en présence d’un peuple confiant et solide, qui sait ce qu’il veut. En effet, les Gabonais qui se réclament de la résistance, sont suffisamment confiants et matures pour assumer leur révolution. Pour le meilleur ou pour le pire, celle-ci sera leur œuvre ; ils l’imposeront au Gabon et le futur leur appartiendra. L’histoire est avec eux.

Pour les politiciens Gabonais, il s’agit de s’aligner du bon ou du mauvais côté de l’histoire. Entre Jean Eyeghe-Ndong et Casimir Oye-Mba, on retrouve deux politiciens ayant chacun choisi l’un des camps.

C’est cette résistance solide qui va nous conduire vers une nation forte et solide dans le futur. Même si la position de Casimir Oye-Mba nous parait extrêmement navrante, car elle nous met en face d’un politicien qui semble nous prendre pour des crétins, elle a au moins le mérite de clairement nous démontrer où se situe cet homme politique aujourd’hui, par rapport à nos aspirations.

Le peuple fort continue sa résistance ; Monsieur Oye-Mba, vous êtes libres d’aller aux législatives.

On ne lâche rien !

The personalization of power in Gabon has been outrageously ubiquitous for at least 50 years. It is not uncommon that any questioning of the action of the regime by enlightened citizens remembering their supposed prerogatives, receives the following argument from the regime's sycophants: "leave him alone to do his work; wait for 2023, the election is over.”

How can anyone, in good conscience, consider Jean Ping's intransigence in the face of Ali Bongo's abuses, as a form of personalization of the political struggle, as expressed by the online publication Gabonreview? This seems odd to us!

At the time when Ali Bongo is torturing Bertrand Zibi in prison, at the time when the kidnappings of inconvenient journalists are multiplying, at the time when the arrests of members of opposition parties are intensifying; it is curious to note that Gabonreview is publishing an editorial on the personalization of Jean Ping’s political battle.

Knowing that the Gabonese political system is, to a large extent, Ali Bongo; the personalization of power is the most obvious thing. We know that Gabonreview is aware of it too; so why this asymmetrical accusation of the intransigence of Jean Ping?

It takes two to depersonalize the political debate in Gabon considering the current state of affairs. We cannot ask Jean Ping to depersonalize his struggle, when Ali Bongo remains buried in a personal pursuit of opposition supporters who still say no to his regime. This is the least we could say logically.

It is nevertheless curious that while Marie Madaleine Mborantsuo, who is compromised in multiple cases of corruption, money laundering, misappropriation of public funds, forgery, remains in office mainly because of her relationship with the Bongo family; that while Maixent Accrombessi, who is under indictment for corruption and money laundering, remains on the job at the Gabonese Presidency because of his personal relationship with Ali Bongo; Jean Ping is asked to reconsider the personalization of his political struggle.

The logic of this article from Gabonreview leaves a scent of Casimir Oye-Mba’s reasoning.

Comment peut-on en bonne conscience, considérer l’intransigeance de jean Ping face aux abus d’Ali Bongo, comme étant une forme de personnalisation de l’engagement politique, comme l’exprime l’organe en ligne Gabonreview ? Cela nous semble assez curieux !

Au moment où Ali Bongo torture Bertrand Zibi en prison, au moment où les enlèvements de journalistes gênants se multiplient, au moment où les arrestations de membres de partis d’opposition, s’intensifient ; il curieux de constater que Gabonreview ponde un éditorial porté sur la personnalisation de l’engagement politique par Jean Ping.

Sachant que le régime politique Gabonais c'est, pour une large part, Ali Bongo ; la personnalisation du pouvoir est la chose la plus évidente qui soit. Nous savons que Gabonreview le sache aussi ; alors pourquoi cette accusation asymétrique de l’intransigeance de Jean Ping ?

Il faut être deux pour dépersonnaliser le débat politique au Gabon dans l’état actuel des choses. On ne peut pas demander à Jean Ping de dépersonnaliser sa lutte, quand Ali Bongo lui reste enfoncé dans une poursuite personnelle des partisans de l’opposition qui disent encore non à son régime. C’est la moindre des logiques.

Il est quand même curieux qu’alors que Marie Madeleine Mborantsuo qui est compromise dans de multiples affaires de corruption, de blanchiment d’argent, de détournement de fonds publics, de faux et usage de faux, reste en fonction à cause essentiellement de ses rapports familiaux avec la famille Bongo ; qu’alors que Maixent Accrombessi qui est sous le coup d’une mise en examen pour corruption et blanchiment d’argent, reste en fonction à la Présidence du Gabon à cause de ses rapport personnels avec Ali Bongo; c’est à Jean Ping qu’on demande de réviser la personnalisation de sa lutte politique.

La logique de cet article de Gabonreview laisse comme un parfum de raisonnement très Casimir Oye-Mba

At a time when the Gabonese people have a thirst for a coherent management of their country; at a time when the Gabonese want to dismantle the imposture; should we still ask these people who cannot stand Bongo and their retrograde political system, to continue to tolerate the wandering and political nomadism, as embodied by the recent proposals of Casimir Oye-Mba and Guy Nzouba-Ndama?

If we can understand that in the context of modern democracies where the citizen's vote is respected because sacred, the ability of politicians and even ordinary citizens to move and remain flexible in rapidly changing political environments can be accepted and even appreciated; in the context of the calcification and immobility of power as exercised by the Bongos, we cannot continue to accept political wandering as normative of our lives. No, we want to end this principle.

When our friends from Gabonreview try to blame some people, maybe even this blog, who knows, to personalize the political fight, we will want to remind these valiant compatriots all the harm that political wandering has done to our country since 1990 , and that the lack of action we know today may come from there. Now, many are the Gabonese who like us, say no to this movement of perpetual balance of Gabonese politicians between the power and the opposition, without anything changing on the ground for the whole population.

To say no to Casimir Oye-Mba and Guy Nzouba-Ndama’s proposal, is not for us any personalization of the debate or political fight, but simply the recognition that this path is without any way out.

A l’heure où les gabonais ont soif d’une gestion cohérente de la cité ; à l’heure où les Gabonais veulent démanteler l’imposture ; doit-on encore demander à ce peuple qui n’en peut plus des Bongo et de leur système politique rétrograde, de continuer de tolérer l’errance et le nomadisme politique, tels qu’incarnés par les propositions récentes de Casimir Oye-Mba et de Guy Nzouba-Ndama ?

Si on peut comprendre que dans le contexte des démocraties modernes où le vote du citoyen est respecté car sacré, on puisse accepter et même apprécier la capacité des politiciens et même des simples citoyens à se mouvoir et demeurer flexibles dans des environnements rapidement changeants politiquement ; dans le contexte de calcification et d’immobilisme du pouvoir tel qu’exercé par les Bongo, il nous est impossible de continuer d’accepter l’errance politique comme étant normative de nos existences. Non, nous voulons en finir avec ce principe.

Quand nos amis de Gabonreview viennent reprocher à certains, peut-être même à ce blog, qui sait, de personnaliser le combat politique, nous voudrons bien rappeler à ces vaillants compatriotes tout le mal que l’errance politique a fait à notre pays depuis 1990, et que les pannes d’actions que nous connaissons partent peut-être de là. Désormais, nombreux sont les Gabonais qui comme nous, disent non à ce mouvement de balancier perpétuel de politiciens Gabonais entre le pouvoir et l’opposition, sans que rien ne change dans les faits pour l’ensemble de la population.

Dire non à la voie de Casimir Oye-Mba et de Guy Nzouba-Ndama, n’est pas pour nous une quelconque personnalisation du débat ou combat politique, mais simplement la reconnaissance que cette voie est sans issue.

Petroleum refining consists of converting a black pulp hydrocarbon mixture called crude oil, into multiple finished energy products such as fuels, and non-energy finished petrochemicals products such as lubricants, paraffin and bitumen.

In Gabon, Sogara specializes in converting crude oil into finished products. The process of physically separating the hydrocarbon fractions contained in the crude oil, from each other, at atmospheric pressure, is the first refining step and is based on the difference in boiling temperature of each of the pure products contained in oil: this is atmospheric distillation. This form of distillation gives a residue, the atmospheric residue or AR, which is widely used in American refineries as fuel.

According to the specialized oil press, a company called Augusta has just won the exclusive market of the removal of the Sogara’s AR, and its international commercialization.

Augusta Energy is a company that was created in 2010 by former Addax Petroleum executives. Until then, Sogara was producing 500,000 tons of AR annually, which were shared equally between Augusta Energy and Philia, a company based in Switzerland but apparently owned by our compatriot Jean-Philippe Amvame, an intimate friend of Denis Sassou-Nguesso’ son.

The granting of this contract to Augusta Energy would have been made thanks to a large pre-financing of several tens of millions of dollars. Augusta Energy proposed, in December 2017, an offer of 250 million dollars, that is to say 125 billion CFA francs, to the Director General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) at the time, Paul Massassa, who has since been ousted from this position.

To close the contract, Augusta Energy secured in Libreville, the support of Lorenzo Almeida, son of Addax veteran Pedro de Almeida, and of Jean-Baptiste Tomi, son of Michel Tomi, who is close to Ali Bongo and the boss of the Corsican mop in Gabon. Jean-Baptiste Tomi was able to count on his friend Brice Laccruche Alihanga who is Ali Bongo’s Chief of Staff. The specialized oil press says that it is in fact Brice Laccruche Alihanga who was decisive in the choice of Augusta Energy for this contract.

Le raffinage du pétrole consiste en la transformation d’une mixture d'hydrocarbures dans une pâte noire appelée pétrole brut, en plusieurs produits énergétiques finis comme les carburants et combustibles, et produits pétrochimiques finis non énergétiques, comme les lubrifiants, les paraffines et les bitumes.

Au Gabon, la Sogara est spécialisée dans la transformation du pétrole brut en produits finis. Le Procédé consistant à séparer physiquement les unes des autres, les fractions d’hydrocarbure contenues dans le pétrole brut, sous pression atmosphérique, est la première étape du raffinage et est basée sur la différence de température d’ébullition de chacun des produits purs contenus dans le pétrole : c’est la distillation atmosphérique. Cette forme de distillation donne un résidu, le résidu atmosphérique ou RAT, qui est très utilisé dans les raffineries américaines comme fuel.

Selon la presse pétrolière spécialisée, une société appelée Augusta vient de remporter le marché exclusif de l’enlèvement du RAT de la Sogara, et sa commercialisation vers l’international.

Augusta Energy est une société qui a été créée en 2010 par des anciens d'Addax Petroleum. Jusqu'ici, la Sogara produisait annuellement 500000 tonnes de RAT, qui étaient partagée à égalité entre Augusta Energy et Philia, une société basée en Suisse mais apparemment appartenant au compatriote Jean-Philippe Amvame, un intime du fils de Denis Sassou-Nguesso.

La presse pétrolière spécialisée affirme que c’est en effet Brice Laccruche Alihanga qui a été décisif dans le choix d'Augusta Energy sur ce marché.

Cet accord permet à la GOC de se tirer d'une situation difficile, issue du contrat signé en 2017 par Perenco et le ministère du pétrole gabonais, qui privait la GOC du profit oil des permis de Perenco. La societe Perenco s'acquittant désormais de ses impôts auprès du ministère de l'économie, et non plus en brut auprès de la GOC. Vu que le brut de Perenco était vendu par Vitol pour le compte de la GOC, Vital et la GOC se sont donc retrouvés avec d’importants manques à gagner. En plus, Vitol avait déjà concédé de substantielles avances à la GOC.

En permettant à la GOC de se tirer d'affaire, Vaalco pense obtenir le prolongement de son permis sur le site Etame qui s'achève en 2021.

Accrombessi était simultanément l’agent du groupe Marck à Libreville, et conseiller financier du ministère de la Défense, premier client de Marck. Un conflit d’intérêt. Sa mise en examen a pour motif des soupçons de blanchiment d’argent et de corruption.

D’après les enquêteurs, les versements de Marck ont été utilisés par Accrombessi pour alimenter les comptes de la SCI Palimah. Qui plus est, c'est à travers cette société gérée par son épouse Evelyne Diatta, que le couple Acrombessi a acquis en 2006, une vaste propriété à Tréméreuc, en Bretagne, dans l'ouest de la France.

Parallèlement, les mêmes juges continuent d'enquêter sur Seydou Kane, lui aussi mis en examen dans le même dossier en 2015 pour corruption et blanchiment d’argent. Seydou Kane et Accrombessi seraient associés dans la gestion de biens immobiliers de l’Etat Gabonais en France. Par ailleurs, les fonds de la société Marck auraient transité par la CITP qui est gérée par Seydou Kane. Ce dernier avait été placé en garde à vue, puis libéré après versement d’une caution de de 2 millions d’euros.
